That foundation produced one of the game’s most iconic figures, George Gervin—“The Iceman.” A Hall of Fame shooting guard, George earned 12 consecutive All-Star selections (9 NBA, 3 ABA), captured 4 NBA scoring titles (1978–1980, 1982), and was named to the All-NBA First Team five times. Averaging 25.1 points per game for his career, he was also honored on the NBA 50th and 75th Anniversary Teams, with his No. 44 jersey retired by the San Antonio Spurs. Known for his smooth style and signature finger roll, George set the standard for excellence and composure that defines the Gervin name.

That legacy continued with Derrick Gervin, who excelled at both the collegiate and professional levels. From 1982 to 1985, he scored 1,691 career points and averaged 23.2 points per game as a sophomore, ranking as the nation’s second-highest scorer in his class. Drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in 1985, he later played in the NBA with the New Jersey Nets (1989–1991) and built a successful international career across Italy, Turkey, Spain, Israel, Argentina, Venezuela, the Philippines, and Mexico. His achievements reinforced the Gervin standard on a global stage.

Gee Gervin further extended the family’s basketball presence with a decorated collegiate and professional career. He earned 2× First Team All-Conference USA honors and was named a 1999 NCAA All-American. Professionally, he played with the Harlem Globetrotters, earned Co-MVP honors in the modern ABA, and competed internationally in Mexico and Sweden, becoming a fan favorite. Today, Gee continues to impact the next generation as CEO of Strength N Motion, a prep program based at the George Gervin Academy, and as an assistant coach for the BIG3 Ghost Ballers alongside his father.

Caleb Gervin advanced the legacy through standout collegiate, professional, and post-career contributions. He played professionally in Germany (2004–2005) before returning to the U.S., where he earned West ABA All-Star honors while leading his team in scoring at 25.3 points per game. He helped guide the Bellingham Slam to the 2006 ABA Quarterfinals and was later named to the ABA All-Decade Team (2000–2009). In 2013, he was inducted into the Azusa Pacific University Athletic Hall of Fame. Today, as founder of Gervin Sports Academy, Caleb channels his experience into elite training and mentorship for young athletes.

Looking ahead, Cash Gervin represents the next chapter of this storied lineage. Already emerging as one of California’s top players as a sophomore, he has earned First Team All-League honors in each of his first two high school seasons and helped lead his team to back-to-back CIF Quarterfinal appearances. He ranked 22nd in California in scoring (25.9 ppg) and 8th in three-pointers made (117), earning Second Team All-CIF recognition and All-State consideration. Off the court, Cash maintains a 4.2 GPA and serves as co-president of the 3-D Athletes Christian Bible Club, reflecting the character and commitment that define the Gervin legacy.
